In 2009, CECODES, along with SRD and PACT, joined an initiative started by SNV Vietnam to create the program “Spark – Building Capacities for Social Innovation” to promote social enterpreneuship in Vietnam. The initiative is an international pilot being carried out in 5 countries in Asia and Africa, which seeks to breakthrough systemic issues found in current capacity development market. In Vietnam, the approach chosen by the team is to identify, incubate and scale up innovative solutions at the local level. Since 2011, Spark Center operates as an independent fund and is currently calling for proposals.
